Weather Station Details

Each station has an array of instruments to record air and snow temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed and direction, solar radiation and snow accumulation/ablation (distance to snow surface). Measurements are processed and stored on-site, as well as transmitted to the GOES East satellite. Data are obtained from NOAA in near real-time at the UMass Climate Systems Research Center for processing.
