The Paleomagnetism Laboratory, directed by Laurie Brown, houses

equipment designed to measure, create, and/or destroy magnetic fields

in natural samples. Current equipment includes:

 

• 2G Cryogenic magnetometer

• Molspin spinner magnetometer

• ASC Thermal Demagnetizer

• Molspin Alternating Field Demagnetizer

• Sapphire Susceptibility/AMS meter

• ASC Pulse Magnetizer

• Nikon Reflected Light Microscope
