My current research interests involve elucidating the temporal and geographical distribution of disinfection by-product precursors and their dependance on forest type, aquatic productivity and the character of natural organic matter in temperate forested watersheds. I am also interested in the paleoclimate biomarkers known as GDGT's (glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers) and their application as indicators of soil temperature and soil pH.
