My main research interests are in the fields of Paleoclimatology and Paleoceanography. I am particularly interested in the reconstruction of tropical and subtropical climate evolution from marine and land archives (e.g. corals, marine and lake sediments and stalagmites), using geochemical proxies (foraminiferal Mg/Ca and stable isotopes). The main goal of my research is to understand the role of different climate forcings (e.g. greenhouse gases) in driving the evolution of climate and to investigate how climate has shaped the history of ancient civilizations.
