My research has focussed on reconstructing climate and environmental changes in arctic regions. I have worked on projects in northern Alaska, northern Norway, and southeastern Greenland. Most of this work is based on the analysis of lake sediments to better define past climate variability, glacial history, sea-level change, and land-use impacts.

Past & Ongoing Projects:

  • Lacustrine records of climate change over the past 8,000 years from southeastern Greenland

  • Applications of crypto-tephrochronology in distal sedimentary environments

  • Lacustrine records of climate and relative sea-level history of the Lofoten Islands, Norway

  • Late Pleistocene glacial geology & geomorpohlogy of the northeastern Brooks Range, Alaska

  • GIS determination of equilibrium-line altitudes across the Brooks Range, Alaska

    •
