Preliminary Data

Elemental analysis was done on a Costech Elemental Combustion System 4010 at the University of Massachusetts.  In the EA, the samples are combusted to release CO2, N2, and SO4 gases, which then go through a reduction column, water trap, and finally a GC column to separate out the gases.  The timing and abundances of the peaks are compared to known standards.
