My interests are in volcanology, igneous petrology, 
and sinter on hot springs.


This summer I did field work in Iceland sampling hot springs water and sinter above the basaltic and rhyolitic rock of Torfajokull central volano. I hope to quantify the effects of host rock and conduit rock composition on the formation and growth of hot springs sinter by examining trace elements and stable isotopes.
