I completed a PhD Thesis in October 2002 supervised by Christian Nicollet at the laboratoire Magmas et Volcans, University Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand (France). The main goal of this PhD was to constrain the tectono-metamorphic evolution of the polymetamorphic unit of Andriamena (North-Central Madagascar). This area is characterized by the occurrence of Mg-granulites preserving evidences of Ultra-High Temperature metamorphism, in which I focussed most of my work. Using a complementary approach, involving metamorphic petrology, geochronology and structural, I discussed the geologic signification and the validity of P-T-t path in polymetamorphic context.

From October 2002 to July 2004, I was a post-doc at the department of geosciences, University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA), where I was involved in collaboration with Michael Williams and Michael Jercinovic in the UltraChron project. My main research interests include electron microprobe monazite geochronology (monazite synthesis, analytical and software development), metamorphic petrology and more generally Precambrian geology. All this research is done in various geological settings, like North-Central Madagascar, Canadian shield, Southwest United-States and French Massif-Central. I am also involved in an original and promising project, in collaboration with Anne-Magali Seydoux Guillaume (University of Munster, Germany). We investigate at a nanoscale, using transmission electron microscope (TEM) techniques, the origin of inconsistent Th-U-Pb ages obtained by EMP and ID-TIMS monazite dating.

Since September 2004, I have a faculty position at the Departement de Geosciences, Universite de Besancon (France).
