Each evaluation (midterm & summary) is 10% of the course grade; for a total of 20%

Evaluations are given at the midterm and conclusion of the course. At least two-weeks notice is provided. Review guides are provided. The evaluations test comprehension of key terms & concepts, and disaster assessment methods using interactive tools.

 

The evaluations are two-part.

 

· Part I  60% of evaluation

 

Multiple Choice—Map-Diagram

 

20 Multiple choice questions 4-points each

 

2 Map-Diagram questions 10-points each

 

· Part II 40% of evaluation

 

Lab Inquiry: Disaster Mapping  & Informatics

 

Students will complete a PC-based research and assessment problem. Supporting links and data are provided. In-class lab exercises and Inquiries provide support.

 

We have adopted a take-home and in-class lab exercise midterm for spring 2008.
