Small Lagrangian Balloon (SLB) in the lab (left) and immediately after launch from Chatham Municiple Airport (upper right). The payload sled (lower right) contains the main controller board, satellite modem, gps, pressure altimeter, batteries, and solar panel and weighs approximately 385 g (0.85 lb). The balloon ascended to its target altitude of 1.5 km and remained for there nearly 3 hours until a valve became stuck and terminated the flight.
