To obtain a System 9 ("Mac Classic") compatible version of DDM.SVF updated 2002.01.07 use the links below.
These updated "Mac Classic" stand-alone versions of the DDM-SVF, made with SuperCard, have been posted here to provide updates for those wishing to still use them.
They are being replaced by the web-enabled cross-platform versions made using Revolution which can be obtained from the DDM-Revolution Homepage.
If you can receive MacBinary files successfully, I recommend downloading these smaller files, for quicker transfers. All files are compressed as "sea" or self-extracting-archives; those with the final suffix of "hqx" are binhex files, those with the final suffix of "bin" are MacBinary files.

Bug reports and suggestions to ccondit@geo.umass.edu
BackGround
DDM.SVF versions previous to those dated 02.14.98, distributed by the Geologic Society of America on CD-ROM, have a bug caused by an incompatibility between Macintosh System 8.0 (and higher) and any stand alone program created with Allegiant Technology's SuperCard v.3.01 (and lower). The problem occurs only when Mac OS 8 has desktop windows open that show files in the "List" mode. Starting a SuperCard program in this situation may cause the Finder to quit, forcing you to restart the computer.
Because the versions included on the CD-ROM by GSA are stand-alone applications, created by an earlier version of SuperCard, they cannot be upgraded.
Accordingly, Geologic Society of America has decided to take their CD-ROM of DDM.SVF "out of print", and has authorized me to release these new versions from this site. Users of these new versions should note that program changes incorporated since mastering their CD-ROM have not been through GSA's review cycle.
